WHO WE ARE
Snaflip ("we", "our", "us") is a mobile application that helps users identify and evaluate second-hand items for resale. It is operated by Amine El Mandour.

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
Account data
When you create an account we collect your email address, which is stored and managed by Google Firebase Authentication.
Scan history
When you scan an item, we store the following in Google Firestore linked to your account:
- Item name and description (AI-generated)
- Estimated prices and analysis results
- The image URI on your device (we do not upload your photos to our servers)
Images sent to Google Gemini
When you scan an item or import a photo, the image is sent to Google's Gemini API for AI analysis. This is a temporary, per-request transmission. We do not store your images on our servers. Google's own privacy policy applies to data processed by Gemini.
Usage data
We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or advertising identifiers. We do not use any third-party tracking SDKs.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
- To authenticate you and save your scan history across devices
- To provide AI-powered item identification and market price analysis
- To remember your preferences (region, theme, sensitivity settings) locally on your device

DATA RETENTION
Your account data and scan history are stored until you delete your account. You may request deletion by contacting us at the email above.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Snaflip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
